Paul Rodriguez founded his own company, Reactive Beam Technology, Inc. (RBT) in 1997 providing a variety of FIB services. Paul’s career spans more than 20 years as a Computer Science Engineer & Inventor in the High-Tech / Semiconductor industry where he has been involved in process, product, and project engineering. Paul counsels clients in the areas of Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems evaluation and demonstration. He has extensive FIB experience in evaluation, development & training on FIB systems since 1991. To date, Paul has been granted 7 Patents and 1 Patent pending. These patents involve IC laser designs, laser target & processes for semiconductor. Paul is an active member in the Texas Society for Microscopy. Prior to forming RBT, Inc he was evaluating, running FIB systems for Texas Instruments and a partner in one of the initial FIB contract houses in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in the mid 90’s.
Kultaransingh (Bobby) Hooghan has been involved with FIB systems since 1995. He holds MS degrees in both Physics and Engineering Technology, and has two patent issued and 3 patents pending for FIB and related systems. Prior to forming Hooghan Consultancy and Services, where he specializes in FIB training and consulting, he was a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs and Agere systems. He is actively involved in the Electronic Device Failure Analysis Society (EDFAS) and has authored and presented numerous technical papers and provides technical training at the society’s annual ISTFA conference, and also with ASM International.
Combining the strengths of the two companies: RBT Inc and Hooghan Consultancy & Services, will generate synergies that create an unprecedented new force in the market.
